Sunday.. now not a day to waste.


    Sunday, a day when u can sleep without any tension of anything. I was also doing the same. Had no gym, no college, no tuition, papa had brought chicken in home as Sunday special. And everything was going as usual as all Sundays. I never left my bed before 9:00am in any Sunday. But this one was special. I woke up at 7:00am. Without any doubt, my first work was to check my facebook account. Then after listening to mama’s daily dose, I sat before television.
 Yes, I was waiting for a particular show named “satya meva jayate”. That day, its first episode was to be telecasted. From its promos, I thought it must be a show against the sky rocketing  corruption and yes, it was. The host of the show was none other than my favorite Amir Khan. From the starting of the show, he said about the importance of mother in everyone’s life. Also interacted with some of the mothers who were the live examples of how they fought in their life to save their child(girl child to be specific) and also against their husbands who were all practicing female foeticide. From the show I found out that it is a common practice in india. And most of the people who are involved in it are all well educated. Then the most important thing that hurt me was, that the slum people also accept their child whether it is a girl or a boy without any hesitation, thinking as god’s gift. This is such a shame to all who are involved in it. In the aspiration of a boy child, they are forgetting that they are becoming the murderer of their own girl. They are the people who are killing a girl before she steps into the earth. How dreadful it must be for a mother.
Above all of these, the most important thing that the show gave the light upon was on the corruption done to hide these all things. They showed a footage of a sting operation done back in 2004 in Rajasthan by two reporters against more than 100 doctors and we can see clearly a footage of a lady doctor saying that she will do the operation and was advising to throw the dead body of the girl child in Yamuna or for safe, to cremate it without anyone’s knowledge. I just cant believe a lady doctor saying it. What if her own father had done the same to her before her birth? Would she be able to be a doctor?
After such clear footage also nothing was done against them rather many times arrest warrant came against the two reporters who did this sting operation. Only three words came to my mouth “what the fuck!” are they wrong to do these types of operations? Who the hell is the judge who gave the permission ? fuck the judge, fuck to the doctor’s lawyers. These all are corrupt. And to the notice, after 7 years also no actions were taken against these doctors.
Is this that India for which our national leaders like gandhiji and bhagat singh were fighting for its indepence? Is this the outcome of freedom India? Then in my view, it was better India was under the British.
Time has come. We all have to unite again for a common goal. “India”.
Many people think of their family before their country. If Bhagat singh had done the same as us, then could ever we had got that peaceful family? First of all, what does Aamir khan gets by making such an anti corruption show? Money? I don’t think so because he has a lot of it. Only because he is a responsible Indian citizen. Who at least thinks himself as Indian. And he is contributing to it. We are students and may be we can not contribute directly, we can vote, or do seminars on it, make others aware on the present situation in india . e.g. I was also not knowing these all after I saw the show. And I appreciate Amir khan and his team for showing us the truth of our country.
